COVID-19 is making a global impact and affecting communities around the world. We know that the imperativeness of child abuse and neglect has taken a front seat. Abuse happens in isolation, and with this pandemic underway, we believe that millions of children are in extremely vulnerable and at risk situations with heightened stress levels, resources and unsafe environments. With this, our team has determined that it would be wise and in best practice to share the No Dinner Dinner evening, education and information with anyone and everyone.
We invite you to join us in this event to learn, understand, and be a part of the change. You will learn about our work, the much needed community for survivors, and what you can do to be Louder Than Silence. We hope to see you and your loved ones among us in our live video stream on April 30th https://youtu.be/ZiEXN8TEN5Q. Click to subscribe, be part of the countdown and get notified of event updates.
We are nearing the end of National Child Abuse Prevention month, however it is not the end of child abuse and neglect. Therefore, we cannot stop until child abuse ends. We know it is times like these – stress, fear, anxiety – that child abuse is most rampant.
Child abuse and neglect is a health issue that affects us all. To stop it, we need to reduce the stigma of abuse and neglect, bring these issues out in the open, and work together to drive positive solutions and support survivors. Please help The National Foundation to End Child Abuse and Neglect (EndCAN).
Before or during the broadcast, if you would like to text a question for one of EndCAN’s founders, please text 720.682.7996.
We must learn about CAN the same way we’ve learned about Cancer, Heart Disease, Diabetes. The more we know the more we do to create and be the change.
Scaling existing prevention programs to ALL families and children will allow for communities to engage with one another, reduce isolation and end CAN.
Teaching anyone who has contact with children and families about CAN, how to help, be support systems, intervene and prevent will assist us in ending abuse and neglect.
We will change the way we view CAN as being seen solely as a Legal and Social problem, to also being a Health issue. Advocacy campaigns and policy work will achieve this goal.
Your donation will help Be The Change necessary to end child abuse and neglect.
